What is a Hidden Disability?
A hidden disability is a disability that may not be immediately obvious, such as autism, dementia, anxiety, visual or hearing impairment.
Does my disability qualify?
There is no qualifying list of hidden disabilities. If you feel that the scheme will benefit you or make you feel a little more confident when out shopping or travelling, please use it.
Do I need to provide evidence of my hidden disability or invisible illness?
There is no need to provide evidence to wear a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower. It is meant to highlight that you have a hidden disability and does not entitle you to anything. It’s simply there to show that you may need assistance or just a little more time. It is not a fast-tracked pass.
What should I hang from the lanyard?
Whatever you think is most useful. We have ID cards available, but some people hang JAM cards as well as other information cards, passes, keys, pictures or cards - it’s completely your choice.
Is the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower available overseas?
We deliver our products throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Is the scheme just for children?
The scheme has no age limit - it is available to be used by all ages. The parent or carer can wear the lanyard if it is not suitable for the person with the hidden disability to wear it.
Is this mainly for children with Autism?
Many parents and carers of children with Autism are using the scheme but it is not restricted to just one group. Anyone who considers themselves to have a hidden disability is welcome to use it if they feel it will help them.

Can we take an order over the phone?
All orders must be placed through our website.
I've received a faulty/damaged item
Although this is very rare, if your item does not arrive in perfect condition, please get in touch with us and
I would like to return my order - within 14 days
You can return your item to us within 14 days of delivery for a full refund.

We give all of our customers 14 days to return any item - even if it's not damaged. However, if it goes over 14 days, we are unable to arrange for this item to be returned to us.
Delivery
How will my item(s) be delivered?
From dispatch to delivery, it will typically take 2 to 9 working days for delivery in Australia and 10 to 15 working days for orders to New Zealand.
Please note that you will not receive a tracking number.
What are your delivery charges?
The delivery charge is based on the number of items being delivered. You can check the cost before you place your order when you add your items into your shopping cart.
How long will my item(s) take?

How can I change my delivery address?
You can update your delivery address prior to ordering in My Account.
If your items have been ordered, please email us at help@hiddendisabilitiesshop.com.au and we will do our best to change the delivery address if the items have not yet been picked...
Where do you ship to?
We ship throughout Australia and New Zealand. If you are from another country, please go to hiddendisabilitiesstore.com to place your order.
Payments
How can I pay for my order?
We accept all major credit and debit cards using Stripe including Visa Credit, Visa Debit and Mastercard. We also accept payments using PayPal.
How will I be refunded?
The refund will go back onto the same card that you used to place the order with us, and will be paid back to you via a return transaction.
If the refund was to be declined, we will then contact you after 30 days to obtain further bank account...

How do I change my personal details?
You can change your account details by clicking on 'My account'. You are then able to change your name, email and your account password.
You can also go into 'My address book' and you can add, change or delete saved addresses.
